Lai Chu Chan

Practice Owner (BVSC, CVA)

Practice owner and veterinarian, Chan, obtained her Veterinary degree from the University of Sydney in 1991. In 2009, Chan completed her Diploma in Veterinary Acupuncture from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) and incorporates TCVM using acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine, in addition to her Western Veterinary practice. Chan is a member of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) and a member of the Australian Veterinary Acupuncture Group (AVAG), a special Interest Group of the AVA.

She is also studying Veterinary Herbal medicine through the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine When not at work, Chan enjoys spending time with her family, and volunteering for the Cairns & District Chinese Association Inc (CADCAI) where her passion lies in promoting Chinese culture with the CADCAI Chinese and lion dance youth group.

Judy Feld

Veterinary Practice Manager (Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing)

Judy is our friendly Practice Manager who loves spending time with her eclectus parrots and dog, Charja. She is a local resident and a senior staff member with over 18 years experience at the Pyramid Vet Surgery. Judy is a qualified Veterinary Nurse and is responsible for the day to day administration of the practice.

Elise Fiorenza

Trainee Nurse (Enrolled at Australian College of Veterinary Nursing)

Elise started working with us at Pyramid Veterinary Surgery in 2011 as our saturday morning junior since Grade 10 whilst she was finishing school. Elise is now one of our fulltime staff members and is studying Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing through Australian College of Veterinary Nursing. 

Siobhan Kehoe

Trainee Nurse (Enrolled at Charles Sturt University)

Siobhan has been working with us a Junior since Grade 10. Since completing Grade 12 we are now lucky enough to have her as one of our fulltime employees. She is studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Technology at Charles Sturt University. 


Client Relations (Meow University)

Meet Toby he's the newest member of our team. He is currently in training to be a Feline Therapist.

Toby came to us as a rescue cat looking for a forever home. He is always up for cuddles and will be your best friend if you feed him liver treats.
